One of the original settlers of Sherborn was John Breck. He had a daughter
named Elinore who married Benjamin Crane of Medfield.
Benjamin Crane fought in Captain Isaac Johnson's
Company during the King Philip's War and was wounded in Decemeber 1675.
He was awarded land in Dighton for his service.
His descendants ended up moving towards Taunton and started the Crane line
in Berkley that I, Chris Swift am a descendant of.
